Juneteenth is the celebration of African Americans finally truly receiving freedom. June 19, 1865 marks the day that African Americans in Texas first learned of the Emancipation Proclamation which was more than two years after it was initially issued. Two years of additional free labor from free black men and women. This t-shirt is a reminder that we are free even in spite of our circumstances.
